Export buyers — FAQ
What's the minimum container quantity?
Standard export MOQ is 1 MT FOB Mundra or Nhava Sheva — a typical first-time order for qualification. Full container loads (FCL): a 20-foot container carries approximately 18-22 MT of packed coconut shell hexagons (1 kg vacuum boxes inside 12 kg cartons, stuffed to maximum), or 22-24 MT of activated carbon in 25 kg sacks. Less-than-container-load (LCL) shipments are accepted from 1 MT for buyers building toward FCL volumes.
What's the lead time from PO to FOB?
Indicative timeline: 7-10 days production for hexagons and cubes from stock-grade lots; 10-14 days for custom-spec lots and Magic Charcoal flagship pressing; 14-21 days for activated carbon to a specific iodine number band. Add 2-3 days for documentation (COA on request, MSDS, fumigation, Halal / Kosher), inland haulage to Mundra or Nhava Sheva (1-3 days from Rajkot), and CHA clearance. Plan 18-30 days from confirmed PO to vessel sailing.
What documentation do you provide for export shipments?
Standard export pack includes: commercial invoice, packing list, per-lot COA on request (fixed carbon, ash, moisture, volatile matter, burn time / iodine number as applicable), MSDS in the destination market's language, fumigation certificate (where the destination requires it), origin declaration. On request: Halal certificate (typical for GCC), Kosher certificate, SGS or Bureau Veritas third-party verification (additional cost), phyto-sanitary certificate. We ship under LUT bond so GST is zero-rated.
Is sample shipping available before a container order?
Yes. 1-5 kg sample packs ship via DHL / FedEx air to almost any destination at the buyer's freight cost (typically USD 80-150 air cost). Sample packs include the production-lot COA on request so you can validate burn time, ash percentage, iodine number or BET surface area before committing to a 1 MT trial order. Most buyers run a 1-month sample evaluation before placing the first container.
What payment terms do you accept for export?
TT (telegraphic transfer) advance is the standard for first-time buyers — 100% advance against pro-forma invoice. Established buyers (3+ clean cycles) can move to LC at sight against scanned documents. Selectively, we offer D/A (documents against acceptance) at 30 days for repeat buyers with a clean payment history. We don't currently offer D/A 60 or open credit on first orders.
